Day 3: B-School Odyssey – Mock CAT over: Scores were a little better than what I had expected but still I’m far away from 100 %ile.

Folks, today too I woke up late and the reason was that I couldn’t get sleep until 3:30 a.m. yesterday night. I went into taking the mock with absolutely zero preparation and to my surprise, I scored a little better than what I had anticipated. You can check my scores in the featured image above. The first box shows my scores whereas the box below it shows the benchmark scores against various other percentiles.

Below are my detailed scores capturing the impact of Incorrect Responses – I’m not sure of GMAT yet; but CAT (Common Admission Test) does take negative marking into consideration for each incorrect answer.

If you look at the featured image above, the guy who scored 99.5 %ile has scored 163 marks out of 300. Now if I have to beat him, I need to score double of what I scored today. 88 x 2 = 176. This is my new target for the mock next Sunday.

Coming back to today’s targets:

  1. Sit and finish the mock analysis for today’s mock – probably it’ll take 9 hours.
  2. If time remains, take the same mock again.
  3. I’ll also learn blogging for at least an hour today just to refresh my mind.

If you’d like to know the resources that I’m using for my GMAT and CAT prep, do ask your questions in the comment box below.

It is a tough target to top the Mock next week, but there’s no harm in setting a high target. See you soon before I hit the bed tonight… The time right now is 5:22 p.m.
